John Spence is a senior technical assistance consultant for the Region 1 Comprehensive Center and the coaching lead for the Maine Department of Education’s Rethinking Responsive Education Ventures (RREV) initiative. He has over 25 years of experience in K-12 education, having served in a wide variety of leadership roles at a regional education service center, state education agency, university, and regional comprehensive center.
Mr. Spence’s areas of expertise include education leadership, teacher quality, professional learning, stakeholder and client engagement, communities of practice, and individual and team coaching. He is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and a certified CBAM Levels of Use interviewer.
