Pamela Buffington is a state liaison for the Region 1 Comprehensive Center. She has more than 38 years of experience in education, with more than two decades providing outreach, needs sensing, technical assistance, and dissemination to educational leaders and stakeholders. As the state liaison for Maine, Dr. Buffington is responsible for carrying out intensive projects throughout the state.
Dr. Buffington is an expert in conducting outreach to a wide range of rural stakeholders, developing networks for cross-state collaboration, and conducting needs sensing with rural communities, as well as leading research in rural schools and communities. Dr. Buffington is also an expert in technology integration in education, with extensive work in mathematics, science, and computer science, and she has designed, researched, and implemented online and face-to-face professional development materials.
