Supporting a Whole-Student Approach in SLIFE Identification - Current

The number of students with limited or interrupted formal education (SLIFE) arriving in Massachusetts has increased significantly over the past few years — many of whom have experienced natural disasters, violence, persecution, and/or trauma. It is crucial that schools are well-prepared to receive these students.

R1CC supported the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in developing guidance for districts to welcome, identify, screen, and determine placement and supports for SLIFE.
