Even though districts in Massachusetts implement mentoring and induction (M&I) programs, early career teacher attrition remains an issue. Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) wants to review and revise their mentoring and induction survey to ensure that the data are used to support district reflection on mentoring and induction practices. Together with Region 1 Comprehensive Center, DESE will analyze past mentoring survey data, identify new questions for inclusion, and explore strategies for increasing data quality.
